FirstPort named among UK’s top employers for fourth consecutive year

FirstPort, the UK’s largest residential property manager, has retained its status as a Top Employer in the UK, after being awarded the prestigious certification for the fourth consecutive year by the Top Employers Institute.

Being certified as a Top Employer showcases an organisation’s dedication to a better world of work and exhibits this through excellent people policies and practices.

The Top Employers Institute programme certifies organisations based on the participation and results of their HR Best Practices Survey. This survey covers six HR domains consisting of 20 topics such as People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Well-being, Diversity & Inclusion and more.

This accreditation, based on assessments carried out in 2021, reflects a successful year for FirstPort and its focus on its employees. In November, Glassdoor named FirstPort among the top 12 UK companies for work-life balance.

Michael Venus, Chief People Officer at FirstPort, said: “We are delighted to be named among the UK’s top employers for the fourth year in a row. This award is hugely important to us, because the accreditation process recognises our continual efforts to ensure that FirstPort is a great place to work.

“Throughout 2021, it was important to continue supporting our colleagues through the continued implications of the pandemic, as well as the various challenges that our industry has faced, by focusing on their wellbeing, whilst also placing an emphasis on our communications with our colleagues throughout the year.

“At FirstPort, we are extremely proud of our team, who continue to deliver the best possible service for our customers and clients year-on-year, and it is a credit to our great teams that the Top Employers Institute has recognised us once again.

Top Employers Institute CEO David Plink says: “Reflecting on the demanding year that has, like the year before it, impacted organisations across the world, FirstPort has continued to show that it prioritises maintaining excellent people practices in the workplace. They continue to meet the challenges of the changing world of work while working tirelessly to make a positive impact on the lives of their workforce. We are pleased to celebrate and applaud the organisations that have been certified as Top Employers in their respective countries this year.”
