McDowalls strengthen their valuation team

McDowalls Surveyors are continuing to strengthen their valuation team. Having seen good rates of growth across the business, they are seeking new ways to continue to develop the firm. Since acquiring the business in 2011 McDowalls have almost doubled in size and now employ over 20 staff.

Chris Baker, Owner of McDowalls commented:

"I feel it’s the right time to split the valuation part of the business to better reflect the mix of business and clients that we now work for. "

With this in mind Chris has promoted Karen Hawkes, formerly of Charles Living Surveyors to the new post as Head of Social Housing Valuations.

...

"Karen’s hard work and dedication to the firm and this department have made her a natural choice for this role", says Chris.

"This along with the recent appointment of Colin Horton, who joined McDowalls on the 1st of August and will now Head the Private Client Valuations team, means that I can now allow these teams to pursue further opportunities within their respective fields."

Chris hasn’t stopped there and is delighted to announce that Alison Stone, the current Managing Director of Prickett and Ellis Surveyors will be joining McDowalls in early November. Alison is a well-known and respected valuer having worked at the North London Firm Prickett and Ellis for many years and specialising in Leasehold Reform valuations and negotiations for both Freeholder and Lessee. The additional of Alison into the Valuation teams will let other firms and clients know just so serious we are in developing our valuation teams for the benefit of our clients.
