A national freeholder has appointed property management company MetroPM to look after five residential apartment blocks in Leicestershire.

MetroPM, which has offices in Birmingham and Cheltenham, will be managing the five modern properties known as Linnet Court, in the market town of Uppingham, near Oakham.

The purpose-built development, which was completed in 2006, contains a total of 27 individual apartments, with a gated car park to the rear.

Ian Smallman, a director of Metro PM, said: “We are pleased to have won the contract to look after these smart apartments on behalf of a national freeholder.

“We are now ensuring that a comprehensive handover takes place, with all servicing contracts and financial information being reviewed from the outgoing agent.

“Health and safety is a key focus for us, making sure that the scheme is managed to a high standard and meets all statutory requirements, so that all stakeholders are safeguarded.

“We will also undertake a full audit of the scheme while migrating the management of the development to our operational management team.”

Mr Smallman added: “As a matter of course, this will include a full review of the budget and ensuring that all necessary works are completed in accordance with the lease requirements.”

MetroPM operates nationally and is responsible for the management of apartment developments across England.
