Estate management specialist MetroPM has been appointed to look after a residential development in a commuter town just 20 miles from London.
The new contract is to manage 19 flats in Acorn Close and Ashwood Place, in Slough, Berkshire on behalf of a national freeholder client.
The development, which was constructed in 2007 by Countryside Properties, needed swift action from a property management specialist to tackle outstanding maintenance issues.
Henry Arnold, the property manager at MetroPM dealing with the contract, said that he had already met with leaseholders and had addressed a number of issues which were causing concern.
Mr Arnold said: “We took over the management in May and have already engaged with all owners and have prepared a plan of action to deal with all issues.
“This includes internal and external redecorations, high level essential works to roof, parking issues, and improvements to the grounds maintenance, to name a few.
“We will continue to work with leaseholders to make sure they all continue to enjoy living in modern flats that need regular maintenance.”
Ian Smallman, a director at MetroPM, explained that he was pleased the company’s existing freeholder clients continued to instruct them on additional properties that needed management improvements.
Mr Smallman said: “We were instructed by a national freeholder client who wanted to appoint an agent prepared to address issues quickly, liaising closely with leaseholders to provide a plan of action that ensured all compliance matters were dealt with.

MetroPM was founded in 2006 by managing director Matthew Arnold. Through its offices in Birmingham and Cheltenham, the company provides residential service charge management for freeholders and clients across the UK.
