David is an associate in his second stint at Scanlans. He worked in Manchester from 2005-2010 as a senior surveyor, then re-joined the firm in 2014 as a senior surveyor in Leeds.

Meanwhile, Scanlans has recruited Gordon Harrow as a senior building surveyor based in its Birmingham office, where Chris Jones has been promoted to associate in the property management department.

Scanlans chairman Ian Stanistreet said: “We are delighted to promote Philip and Chris and recognise them for their contribution to the growth of the business in recent years.

“David has considerable knowledge and experience of the Yorkshire property market and I’m sure he will do a great job at the helm of our Leeds office, where we have exciting expansion plans.

“Our new arrivals in Manchester and Birmingham bring a wealth of experience and significantly add to our existing capabilities.”

Scanlans operates a property management division which specialises in residential block management across the north west and the Midlands. Its portfolio includes Manchester developments Granby Village, Edge Street and Smithfield Buildings.

The firm also has a surveying consultancy with a focus on commercial and residential property, in addition to building surveying and LPA receiverships.

It has eight partners and 70 staff across its offices in Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, London and Cardiff.
