4 Stage Fire Response Service

EM React takes a methodical approach and attention to detail to ensure that we are the preferred emergency response team to any fire incident because we know fires can be fatal and preventable. We provide and adhere to up-to-date rules and legislation around protection before and after any fire incident.

Our response teams use their expertise and professionalism to continuously improve the services we offer.

EM react liaise with the emergency services by reacting and responding following a 4-stage procedure. We endeavour to ensure that any fire incident we attend is completed and brought to a safe closure whilst ensuring the safety and welfare of residents.


Stage 1

At stage 1 we attend the site with full fire protective clothing and footwear (PPE) and receive a full handover from the officer in charge, carrying out a full detailed risk assessment to the fire damaged areas including high traffic zones.

Stage 2

This consists of recording a list of all affected apartments and communal areas on site. Contact details are taken for all tenants and photographic evidence is then taken and collated.

Stage 3

Risks are identified and then actioned - this is where barriers and signage are erected to prevent any falls slips and trips/ electrical systems such as temporary lighting is fitted/lifts are put in or out of use.

Damaged items and fire debris is then removed and disposed of by our waste teams adhering to health and safety.

Stage 4

When the building is deemed safe, we allow tenants to collect any essential items, apartments and communal areas are secured if deemed unsafe and we erect hard standing barriers and boarding to ensure no access to the building if out of use.

In response to a fire emergency our teams are a key point of contact and work closely with the police and fire service by sharing factual, relevant, and valuable information such as access codes, location of utilities, and property managers details, promoting excellence practice ensures that key information is shared to prevent any further loss or damage.

EM React also comply with duties imposed under the Regulatory Reform Act (Fire Safety) 2005. Ensuring provision, maintenance and keeping free from obstruction of any means of escape in case of fire.
