Sadness as Ringley Group’s Longest Serving Team Member Passes Away

Some very sad news from leading managing agents, Ringley, where their longest serving team member, Sarah Cheung, lost her fight against three cancers over the weekend.  Despite being at work as recently as last week, and insisting not to take time off except for hospital treatment, this came as a shock and has upset staff and clients alike.

Mary-Anne Bowring, Ringley’s founder, said that “Sarah viewed Ringley as her family, and we know that so many of our staff had a part to play in the fulfilment and happiness that being part of a compassionate team brought. I don't have enough fingers or toes to count the sheer number of you that looked out for and looked after our Sarah.

She has been the backbone of Ringley at HQ for some 27 years.  She was the secret police stamping out illegal post-it notes, Mrs Mailmerge, Mrs Post, Mrs DMS, Mrs Banking, and liked to protect the pennies and frowned at those wanting extras like soya milk or their own stapler.....

...

We will be supporting her family in making the necessary arrangements so that we can all celebrate this brave, sometimes fearsome young lady who we in London called 'the boss'.

We will also find a way to make a fitting lasting tribute to our first and longest serving team member and will work with all of our staff to listen to ideas of how to do so.  Nevertheless, sadly, we move to the next chapter with just her memory.  But these are rich, insightful and beautiful.

Sarah played an important part in making Ringley what it is today - compassionate and grounded.

Her simple loyalty and the fact she cared so much humbled so many of us daily.   Despite the challenges Sarah faced, she truly was a testament to how equality can be so empowering to those who need it most.”
