SDL Property Partners has announced that three new franchisees have joined its national block management franchise network during the COVID-19 lockdown.
The property management specialist has now released details of the three new partners – Middlesex-based Asset India, White Picket Fence Ltd in Croydon and Belvoir London Westminster.
Formed in 2011, Asset India is a real estate advisory and development company, that also has offices in India and Dubai.
Managing Director, Rahul Dixit, explains he was looking for additional support to grow Asset India’s property management offering:
“The growth potential in that part of the market is significant,” said Rahul Dixit “We decided to direct our focus into block management and started looking for a partner to support us with the setting up of systems and processes and with the long list of industry compliance regulations.
“SDL Property Partners ticked all of the boxes. It means we can focus on the business development side of our block management journey, safe in the knowledge that the systems and back office operations needed for the day-to-day running are in safe hands. Ultimately, it means we’re in a position to grow this new part of the business rapidly.”
Belvoir London Westminster is an estate agency specialising in residential sales, lettings and property management across prime, Central and South West London. Owner Tom Wang found himself in a similar position to Asset India:
“Following multiple enquiries from clients on block management, we decided to move into block and estate management to offer the full property service, whilst generating more revenue.
“It led me to look into property management, what it entailed and how best to get started. Belvoir head office introduced us to SDL Property Partners, and after a few meetings, it was clear they were the right company for my business.”
SDL Property Partners was the first franchise-based block management network in the UK, offering a different approach to managing leasehold blocks and apartments. Franchisees are from a variety of different backgrounds, from current property managers who want to be their own boss, to surveyors and letting agents looking to expand into block management. SDL Property Partners supports with everything from branding and business set up, to ongoing training, compliance and annual accounts.
It was the back office support function provided by SDL Property Partners that attracted Carli Knowles, who recently started her own residential property business, White Picket Fence.
“I have always wanted to work more closely with the residential side of the property industry, leading with block management to support clients and residents,” explained Carli.
“SDL Property Partners allows me to do that, whilst having the freedom and ease of making the most of my business pipeline, as I have the back-office support to help with the compliance and central accounting functions.
“Jumping into running my own business can be pretty daunting too, but I now have the on-hand support as-and-when I need it, as well as the training and systems already set up to get started as soon as I’m ready.”
Chris Summers, Head of Franchising at SDL Group, commented: “It’s great to be able to announce our three new SDL Property Partner franchisees.
“All three join us with an already loyal customer base and we have a shared focus on exceptional customer service, which makes each of them an idea partner for us.
“We’ve continued to have strong enquiry levels about franchising during the lockdown period. We know the pandemic has had a major impact on many parts of the property industry but we’re now seeing firms looking to diversify and quickly build new arms of their business and revenue streams in a professional way and customer-focused way.
“We look forward to announcing further details of new partners in the coming months.”
