Nygel Scourfield, former Managing Director of Firstport and non-executive director of ARMA, has joined Fixflo as an Industry Advisor.
Nygel will be working closely with the Fixflo team to help to develop their repairs, maintenance and compliance management software with a particular focus on resident safety and the resident experience.
Commenting on his appointment, Nygel said “Whether from increased expectations of customer service, new impending legislation such as the Building Safety Bill or operational challenges from the current pandemic, demand on property managers and operators keeps rising. Having worked with the Fixflo team over the past year, including as part of the same working group on the Residents’ Voice, I’ve been impressed by their drive to deliver simple focussed solutions to meet the needs of residents, property managers, contractors and other stakeholders such as freeholders and RMC directors.”
Rajeev Nayyar, Managing Director of Fixflo added “Nygel’s depth of experience will be invaluable as we accelerate our investment in product development for both the block management and social housing sectors. We’re looking forward to working with him in the months and years to come.”
Nygel joins other Fixflo advisors including Kevin Watson, commercial and operations director at build to rent landlord PLATFORM_, Mike Wroe former CFO of JustEat and Steve Pankhurst founder of FriendsReunited.
Since leaving Firstport, Nygel has continued to operate as a consultant and advisor in the property industry in both the housing association and private sectors, helping organisations to improve their customer experience at scale with an emphasis on using technology to enhance the resident journey.
