Launch of innovative new app gives residents easy access to repair logs on their phones

A property management company has launched an innovative new app to help its clients log issues and track repairs on their phone.

Block Management UK has launched its new Dwellant app, which is now available on the Apple App Store and Google Play, giving stakeholders and residents access to a centralised hub detailing all repair work and issues raised where they live.

David Collinson, MD of Block Management, said: “This brilliant new app not only speeds up our repair and maintenance process, it also gives residents the peace of mind their issues are being quickly taken care of.

...

“It’s basically a central hub that all our stakeholders are connected to, from residents and tenants to contractors and building owners.

“Our contractors can get their work fed through the app and can look at the jobs that need doing, and acknowledge they are being taken care of.

“Residents, tenants and leaseholders can quickly and easily report faults through the app, they can upload details such as a photo, and get a ticket number to track the issue.”

David said the system allowed for a more efficient repairs process and could also be used to send out alerts and emergency messages.

“If it is an issue affecting more than one person, we can send out a message to all Involved saying the problem has been logged and they can track its progression,” he said.

“For example, if there was a fault with a lift in a property and it was reported to us, we would often receive another 30 phone calls from other people in the building who had also spotted the fault.

“Thanks to the new system and app, we keep our residents informed and up-to-date that we are aware of the fault and are working to quickly remedy it.

“We can also broadcast emergency messages and alerts to all residents, if necessary, track our KPIs and see how many requests are coming from different buildings in different regions.

“The app also provides the facility to download popular documents such as insurance policy documents, copy invoices and more.

“It all goes to help residents and stakeholders feel part of the process and informed every step of the way.”
