On Friday 18th October Principle Estate Management held their annual staff conference at Millenium Point in the centre of Birmingham, marking the end of their financial year.
Kicking off with a quiz from property director Polly Dyer about their recent growth, she revealed that Principle is 14% bigger in terms of sites managed and 15% bigger in terms of people compared to the same time last year. The distance between their two furthest properties is 421 miles.
Directors Joe Jobson and Brett Williams presented their year in review, officially welcoming new team members, celebrating the expansion of the London office, the acquisition of FMS Estate Management and expansion in the north west, plus landmark new instructions such as the Calthorpe Estate and Brindley Drive luxury apartments.
Operations director Stephanie Jobson presented a new business strategy for Principle which has been developed to provide focus and alignment across the organisation over the next 3 years.
Director Stephanie Jobson said: “This event is a chance to come together as a team, reflect on our achievements, and prepare for the journey ahead. With a growing team spread across the country, it’s more important than ever to get everyone together in one place. It’s important that we have some fun too and use the time to get to know each better.”
The event included a team building exercise; discovering previously unknown facts about each other, from hidden talents to quirky hobbies. A chess grandmaster, an expert gamer and DJ are now known to be part of the Principle team along with connections to sporting stars and celebrities, and a lot of languages spoken. Further team building continued with a wellbeing session from Anji McGrandles from The Mind Tribe on goal-setting, focus and habits.
Fundraising played a key part of the day, celebrating the team’s charity efforts over the year, including a skydive and climbing Snowdon. Principle’s corporate charity for 2025 was chosen with a company-wide game of heads or tails.
The day concluded with staff awards to celebrate team members who have stood out this year.
