Powells and Chawner Grey & Co both trace their origins in Weston-super-Mare back to Victorian times. In 2011 the two firms merged their practices to form Powells with Chawner Grey and as at the 12th June 2014 we now operate under the name of PowellsLaw. We offer a high quality and truly independent legal service. In March 2017, the firm acquired the locally renowned practice of Hall Ward & Fox, a specialist Property and Private Client firm based in Weston super Mare.

Accredited as an Investor in People (the industry standard for investment in people) since 1998 PowellsLaw’s staff are highly trained and display a wide range of legal and non legal talents. ~We have two members of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP), one member of the Law Society’s Children Panel, one member of the Association of Leasehold Practitioners (ALEP) and an Associate member of the Association of Contentious Trust & Probate Specialists (ACTAPS).
