The new course is 100% online and on-demand so you can learn in bite-sized chunks to suit you and to fit around your other commitments. Our Level 2 Leasehold qualification is fully aligned with the Ofqual criteria for online learning and replaces the existing Leasehold Foundation Exam. We have made learning candidate-friendly and accessible with video, infographic and text-based content and end of module quizzes to really put your knowledge and understanding to the test.
The Level 2 course includes learning modules based on the IRPM’s ‘four elements’:
- Foundation level technical competence of residential property management
- Professional ethics and behaviours
- How to serve customers and consumers
- Safety
Last year’s review by Lord Best into the Regulation of Property Agents (RoPA) listed all our four professional elements as absolute essentials for minimum qualification requirements for the future regulator.
The course is suitable for both new starters and for back office staff who need a strong foundation level understanding of how leasehold management works. IRPM affiliate members wishing to progress to Associate (Level 3) membership must complete a Level 2 course and pass the exam.
There are no exam dates. This is a multiple choice exam, which takes less than an hour, is online and made available to candidates on completion of the course study materials. Results are given onscreen immediately following the exam and if successful, a pdf certificate can be downloaded by the user.
