Block Management branding debated at RESI

RESI, the annual retreat of the residential property industry, was the backdrop for a high-level roundtable discussion session on the importance of branding in property management hosted by managing agents JJ Homes. Attended by some of the key influencers in the property management sector and facilitated by News on the Block, delegates concluded that there is significant opportunity for a business to create a strong, recognisable brand in the industry. Those managing agents who are widely known tend to have an industry focussed brand primarily designed to appeal to large landlords and developers, or rely on word of mouth for new business recommendations. Few, if any, managing agents have successfully developed a national or international consumer focussed brand which appeals to flat owners although this may change in the near future. Such a brand would need to convey simple principles such as reliability, transparency regarding cost, and outstanding customer service.
