Folk, the award-winning co-living brand on a mission to set a new standard for renting, has announced the opening of a self-service bar at its Battersea site, Florence Dock. Designed to further encourage relationship building and community feel, residents can enjoy a range of delicious wines or beer, with prices starting as low as £3 per glass. Located inside Folk’s building, which opened in July 2023, the bar is set riverside in SW11, just a ten-minute walk both Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Town stations and is likely to be popular with both locals and tourists, due to its location and competitive prices.
Following in the footsteps of popular self-service bar, Vagabond, people can simply top up a card with their desired amount and use it throughout the evening to try a selection of red, white, rose and orange wines or ales and lagers. With Florence Dock also being bookable for short stays ranging from one night to 89 nights as well as to long term residents, the bar makes it an increasingly desirable option for those wishing to stay at the property temporarily, whether that be for business or leisure.
Nicco Christou, Hospitality Manager at Folk, says, “The self-service bar at Florence Dock is a first of its kind across any of our buildings, and we’re so excited to be able to offer the unique space to our residents. The bar represents more than just a place to enjoy a drink, it is a symbol of Folk’s commitment to creating opportunities for connection and community. This bar is a celebration of collaboration, relaxation and belonging, a place in which neighbours can become friends, share ideas and make memories. We’re excited to see this new instalment grow as a hub of energy within Folk’s innovative building and will hopefully be the first of many new opportunities for further connection amongst residents.”
The Florence Dock building also features multiple roof terraces with views of London, a co-working space, MasterChef-like kitchens, a gym, cinema room, gaming room and lounges. The building is the third in Folk’s co-living portfolio in the capital and has been cleverly designed around the brand’s key pillars of community and connection, encouraging social interaction and the formation of new friendships and relationships.
Folk’s Florence Dock in Battersea is designed to impress: the building has 270 beautifully designed private studios and thoughtfully designed shared spaces for residents to come together and cook, enjoy social events, work-out and relax.
