Housebuilder Bovis has launched an inquiry after allegations that it sold homes that were not fit to live in.
A dedicated team led by a senior director is reviewing complaints and to consider whether they should pay any “reasonable” costs incurred by homeowners as a result of its failings.
Almost 600 people have joined Bovis Homes Victims Group on Facebook since reports in January claimed it had bribed buyers to move into unfinished properties.
The Daily Mail said that industry insiders claimed the bribes were a desperate final ploy to hit ambitious targets. A Bovis spokesman said: “We fully recognise our customer
service has to improve.”
