Bournemouth-based blocks of flats insurance broker Deacon has further demonstrated its commitment to supporting local young homeless people, by presenting a cheque for £13,717.07 to New Forest Nightstop Co-ordinator, Jude Todd (pictured third from the right).
Ringwood-based New Forest Nightstop provides emergency overnight accommodation for homeless people aged between 16 and 24 via a network of volunteer households, throughout the New Forest.
Deacon’s Marketing Manager, Dave Hitchins says, “As a specialist property insurance broker Deacon provides services to people who have the luxury of a safe accommodation. The young people who use the New Forest Nightstop service aren’t so lucky; they’re normal people, who, through no fault of their own, have ended up on the streets and once we’d heard about the work done by Jude and her team, we knew we had to get involved.”
“I’m proud that the team and their family members have really got behind this and during the past 12 months the team has done sponsored cycle rides, sponsored runs, numerous cake sales, raffles, dressed up for Halloween and manned Nightstop stands at local events and our MD Penny Jepson, has undertaken a Royal Marines 10km challenge.”
