Folk Co-Living has taken home a prestigious RIBA award for its Earlsfield property - Folk Sunday Mills. The design - from the team at Assael Architecture - draws on the industrial history of the River Wandle to revive and open up the once dormant site, creating 315 co-living rooms and a thriving community hub for residents and the public.
The RIBA (Royal Institue of British Architects) awards has been celebrating outstanding work for over 180 years, with the internationally regarded awards and prizes, recognising the best architecture, architects, research and students. This new accolade for Folk adds to their growing list of awards recently won across their portfolio of buildings.
Folk is on a mission to set a new standard for renting, with three buildings across London. Unlike the average flat share, co-living with Folk aims to provide a whole host of extra benefits including a gym, cinema, co-working space membership, superfast Wi-Fi and council tax as part of the monthly rent. It also helps tackle the loneliness epidemic hitting London. with the properties designed with renters wants and needs in mind, and helping connect people from all walks of life in diverse communities.
Until the end of May, Folk Sunday Mills is also giving back to the community by offering a free month's rent if you sign up for 12 months.
