TGL Management’s story began with a shared passion for fitness and a determination to improve the industry. Before TGL Management, we built our reputation as The Gym Lounge Limited, dedicated to delivering health and fitness both in-person and worldwide through our online coaching team.
While The Gym Lounge focused on empowering individuals, TGL Management was created to take that ethos to the next level — delivering exceptional fitness facilities from the ground up. We believe that to truly change the face of residential fitness, we must be involved at the very start — sitting with developers, influencing design, and ensuring that fitness spaces are created with purpose. This proactive approach is what sets us apart — and it’s the only way forward.
Our first project was a ground up build of a warehouse to modern commercial gym, it certainly was a whirlwind — one that perfectly illustrates our hands-on approach and determination to deliver the best possible facility.
During the build, we were two weeks away from completion when Frank Somma had a bold vision to improve the space. He decided to take down an entire wall, expand the mezzanine area, and rotate the staircase 180 degrees — all right at the final stage. The builders’ faces said it all — they looked exhausted at the thought of undoing their work so late in the project.
But to Frank’s credit, his instinct was spot on. The changes transformed the layout, creating a more open, spacious, and user-friendly environment. While it may have caused a few headaches at the time, the result was a gym that looked and felt incredible — a testament to our belief that no detail is too small when building spaces that inspire people to train.
Our background as coaches is what sets us apart. We understand that a gym isn’t just about equipment — it’s about creating a space that motivates people to show up, push themselves, and feel part of a community.
By combining this coaching-first mindset with Frank’s well-established M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) expertise, we deliver facilities that run efficiently and effectively. Adding our professional cleaning team and fire door company, Lyfe, has allowed us to provide a complete service — ensuring our facilities are not only functional but also safe, clean, and well-maintained. This streamlined approach drastically reduces delays, ensuring minimal downtime for our sites.
Since our official launch in February last year, TGL Management has rapidly expanded. We've secured key contracts, including Goodman’s Fields and 250 City Road, where we deliver full gym management services.
Both sites have been significant milestones, reinforcing our belief that residential gym facilities can (and should) exceed expectations. In addition, we’ve taken on two smaller sites with maintenance-only support, ensuring they remain functional and safe.
Our growth reflects our drive to create fitness spaces that residents want to use — not just generic rooms filled with equipment.
Our mission is clear: to challenge outdated thinking and elevate the standard of residential fitness facilities across the UK.
All too often, residential gyms are treated as an afterthought — poorly designed, underfunded, and lacking in real value for residents. We believe these spaces should rival top commercial gyms, offering high-quality equipment, engaging classes, expert coaching, and nutritional guidance.
What’s more, we believe these facilities should be designed by coaches — the people who truly understand what gym users want. By giving our coaching team the freedom to build inspiring fitness environments, we’re creating spaces that foster community, accountability, and long-term results.
We’re also passionate about transforming spa facilities, which are often overlooked. We believe these spaces should include treatment rooms, premium recovery options, and a level of service that matches the investment residents make in their property.
Our journey is still in its early stages, but our vision is clear. We’re here to build exceptional residential fitness spaces that redefine expectations — and we’re doing it by combining real coaching experience with smart facility management.
